Welcome to Choir Notes on the St. Thomas website! Check here for useful links & info about what to rehearse in a given week and what deadlines are coming up.

The marked score for our final virtual choir project of the semester is attached to Katie’s May 6 email, and the link to our YouTube page where you can find warm-up and rehearsal materials for “My Eyes for Beauty Pine” is here.

The choir is invited to attend the 8:30 am services on these Sundays: May 9, May 16, and May 23. On May 30, we are asked to attend the 10:15 outdoor service. In preparation to lead the service music outdoors on May 30, we invite choir members to remain after the Sunday services on May 9 and May 16 to run through the hymns.  Here’s the music lineup for May 30 – this service will be unaccompanied.

From Katie’s April 21 and May 6 emails:

The choir has two more Zoom check-ins, Thursdays at 7pm. Choristers are also invited to continue to participate in-person at the livestreamed Sunday services on May 9 and May 16.
We are also exploring the idea of a late May choir picnic. Please feel free to send any thoughts or questions!
Our final virtual choir project for the semester is Howells “My Eyes for Beauty Pine.” Appropriate links are provided below, and a score is attached with this email. Information regarding recording scheduling at St. Thomas will be sent out in the next couple of weeks.
I am also happy to confirm that members of the choir are now invited to attend 8:30am live-streamed services in person! Members of the choir may now join the leadership team at any 8:30am Sunday service for the remainder of the spring. For everyone’s continued safety, we ask that you sign in at the Welcome Desk. continue to wear a mask and sit distanced in the sanctuary. If the leadership team feels the need to suspend in-person worship, we will contact the choir via email and make the announcement in our Zoom meet-up. This Sunday (April 25) anyone is welcome to arrive at 8:00am for a vocal warm-up and run-through of the hymns. If you plan on attending, please plan to be seated no later than 8:15 to prepare for the live streaming.
Please feel free to send me any questions! I look forward to seeing you at our Zoom meeting Thursday, and in three dimensions this Sunday! — Warm regards, Katie

Mike writes, March 12: This week you can begin working on All Glory, Laud, and Honor, which will be used during the Palm Sunday service, and The Strife Is O’er, which will be part of the Easter service.
Scores for these and for Christ the Lord is Ris’n Again are attachments to Mike’s 2.11 email.
