Worshiping In Place

Keeping each other safe during COVID
Please visit our homepage and specific ministry pages to see how we are adapting our shared ministry to this challenge.

Right now, we’re worshiping virtually on Sundays at 11:00 am. Links to all our past worship videos are here on this page. On Sunday morning, as soon as we have a direct link to a video of a service we will post it here.

If we don’t yet have a direct link here for a service, you can always go to our youtube channel to look for it.

As soon as we have a direct link to a video of a service, we will post it here. Stay tuned! If we don’t have direct links yet for a service, you can always go to our youtube channel to look for it.

  • 24 Dec 2020 – Christmas Eve Events

Outdoor Christmas Eve Children’s Service at 4:00 pm
We’ll have a brief outdoor service to sing Christmas Carols and bless a special Christmas tree. Here is the Children’s Bulletin coloring page, and the service bulletin, if you want to print your own. You’ll need to come prepared! Dress warmly, wear a mask, plan to stand at least six feet apart, and bring a special “ornament” for the tree – a new hat, scarf, or pair of gloves, Take a blessing card home with you to bless your at-home tree. If this in-person service seems too risky due to COVID, we will announce a Zoom link on December 23. Drop off hats, scarves, and mittens to the east door box through January 6.

YouTube Christmas Eve Festival Service of Lessons and Carols at 8:00 pm
This service traces the story of the Incarnation from the Fall to promise of the Word Made Flesh. We’ll sing old carols and new carols, with prayers from the saints. Appearances by friends of the St. Thomas choir and other guest musicians will make this a service you don’t want to miss. You can tune in as early as 7:30 to hear an extended prelude. There will be another prelude at 8:00 pm.  You can also find the service on the St. Thomas YouTube channel. Here is the service bulletin.

Facebook Live Crêche Blessing at 10:00 pm
Pastor Adrianne Meier writes, “Live from the Meiers’ home, after the presents are wrapped and (hopefully) ‘the children…all nestled, all snug in their beds,’ we’ll share a few of our favorite quiet carols and bless our nativity set. You’re invited to join us.” Link to the St. Thomas Facebook page. Link to the service bulletin.

  • 2 December 2020 – Advent Services

Advent Worship TODAY, 2-Dec, at 7:00 pm:

Our Advent Midweek services, which will premiere on YouTube at 7pm on Wednesdays, will center around these songs: Mary’s Magnificat, Zechariah’s Benedictus, Simeon’s Nunc Dimittas, and the angel chorus’s Gloria.  We will hear the songs both chanted and set as a hymn featuring our talented staff musicians.  Candidly, when we recorded our first service, nothing in technology went according to plan, but the liturgy, music, and message carried us into a hope we had been longing for.  We present these services to you, that you, too, might be held by this Advent message of hope.  The direct link is here: https://youtu.be/5G8k5LQ5u_k.
