We’re offering public concerts again, following guidelines from the Monroe County Department of Public Health. Here’s some of what we’ve offered in the past.

The Bach Cantata Project
Performances in our sanctuary by the Bach Cantata Project have been a special joy for St. Thomas for years. Notwithstanding COVID-19, these dedicated scholar-musicians found ways to share their gifts – you can read about upcoming projects and performances at their facebook page. We’re delighted to welcome them back in person in the autumn of 2021.
Worship & the Arts Concert Series
The Worship & the Arts Concert Series was established in 2003 and offers a variety of special music from our resident musicians, fine guest ensembles, and soloists. The choir offers concerts during December and in April. Student groups have offered Evensongs and hymn festivals. Guest musicians from outside Bloomington are brought in when they are available. All events are free and open to the public. The series is funded from fees for recitals held at St. Thomas and individual donations.
Worship and the Arts also serves as the contact point for local musical organizations to perform at St. Thomas. The church is the venue for the Bach Cantata Project concerts – six a year – in conjunction with IU and the Historical Performance Institute.
